Get help with Tunify - Pitch Perfect Tuner

Frequently Asked Questions

Why is Tunify not detecting any sound?

Make sure you have granted microphone permission. Go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Microphone on your device and enable access for Tunify. Also ensure your device is not in Silent Mode and no other app is exclusively using the microphone.

How accurate is the tuner?

Tunify uses autocorrelation-based pitch detection with sub-sample parabolic interpolation, providing accuracy within a fraction of a cent. For best results, tune in a quiet environment and play one string at a time.

What instruments are supported?

Tunify includes tuning presets for Guitar, Ukulele, Bass, Violin, Viola, Cello, Mandolin, and Banjo. Each instrument comes with standard and popular alternate tunings. You can also use Auto or Manual mode to tune any instrument chromatically.

What tuner modes are available?

Auto: Detects any note automatically. Manual: Lets you select a specific target note. Instrument: Shows string-by-string tuning for your selected instrument and tuning preset. Swipe left or right to navigate between notes in Manual and Instrument modes.

What reference pitch does Tunify use?

Tunify uses the standard concert pitch of A4 = 440 Hz.

Does Tunify work offline?

Yes. Tunify works entirely offline. All pitch detection is performed on-device and no internet connection is required.

Does Tunify collect my data?

No. Tunify does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. Audio from the microphone is processed in real time and immediately discarded. See our Privacy Policy for details.

How do I change the app appearance?

Open Settings (gear icon) and scroll to the Appearance section. You can choose between Light, Dark, or System theme.
